Five-a-side teams registering online for the 2009
FA UMBRO Fives tournament can now maximise their chance of Wembley glory.
Each team that enters online and doesn’t automatically qualify for the final will be entered into an exclusive draw for a special ‘Lucky 8’ final to be held at Wembley Stadium on the June, 20.
Now open for registration, the 2009 FA UMBRO Fives tournament, will see teams do battle up and down the country over the coming months intent on achieving one goal - a place in the prestigious Wembley finals.
But for teams which narrowly miss out on automatic qualification there is now a second chance for Wembley glory with teams registering online at
www.TheFA.com/UmbroFives being entered into a draw for the ‘Lucky 8’ final.
The eight teams selected for the ‘Lucky 8’ final will be treated to the same ultimate Wembley final experience.
As well as travelling on the England team bus, they will get access to the main player changing rooms, walk out of the Wembley tunnel and sing the national anthem on the pitch with the other finalists.
The overall winners of the tournament will climb the famous Wembley steps to receive their trophy.
The FA UMBRO Fives tournament, now in its third year, is open to both men’s and women’s teams of any ability that are over 18 years of age.
The road to Wembley begins with a series of local qualifying heats, which take place around the county until the end of April.
The winners of these qualifying heats will then progress through to one of seven regional finals which will be contested during April and May.
