This cut-back cross is usually delivered from the by-line looking for a team-mate with a late run into the box. Place the non-kicking foot at a slight angle to the side and below the ball. The arm of the non-kicking foot should be out to provide balance. The head should be down and focused on the ball. Pass the ball with the inside of the foot, looking to hit the penalty spot. This cross is all about accuracy so following through with the kicking foot is not necessary.

This swerve cross is usually delivered from a wide position, roughly in line with the edge of the 18 yard box looking to play in behind the defence. Place the non-kicking foot at a slight angle to the side and below the ball. The arm of the non-kicking foot should be out to provide balance. The leg moves to meet the ball at an arch, striking the outside of the ball with the inside of the big toe, making sure that you follow through with the the kicking foot for maximum power. This will ensure that the ball swerves away from the goalkeeper.

This lofted cross is usually delivered from a deep position looking to hit the far POMO (Position of maximum opportunity) zone. Place the non-kicking foot at a slight angle to the side and below the ball. The arm of the non-kicking foot should be out to provide balance. The head should be down and focused on the ball. Strike the bottom of the ball between the inside and laces area of the boot, this should ensure that you get the required height on the ball to clip it over the defence.
